Clique - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how 1999 Labs, LLC ("Clique," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Clique mobile app and website (the "Service").

Who can use Clique

Clique is intended for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email, or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple.
• Photos and content. The photos you and your clique shoot, along with related content such as reactions and clique names. Photos are stored on our servers and shown only to members of the clique they belong to.
• Clique and contact information. The cliques you create or join, who is in them, and invites you send. If you invite someone, we may use the contact details you provide to deliver that invite.
• Purchases. If you buy a subscription or upgrade, Apple processes the payment; we receive confirmation of the purchase but not your card details.
• Device and usage data. Basic information such as device type, app version, interactions within the app, and crash and performance data.
• Notifications. A push token, so we can send alerts such as when a roll develops.

How we use information

We use your information to: provide and operate the Service (create cliques, store rolls, and develop and deliver photos to your clique); send notifications you have enabled; process purchases; keep the Service safe and enforce our Terms; fix problems and improve the app; and comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

• With your clique. Photos and content you contribute are shown to the members of that clique.
• With service providers. Companies that help us run the Service - for example hosting, analytics, and notification providers - under obligations to protect your data.
• For legal and safety reasons. When required by law, or to protect users, the public, or our rights.
• Business transfers. If Clique is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads in the app.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. On the free tier, developed rolls are kept for 12 months; with a paid subscription, they are kept until you delete them. When you delete your account, we delete your photos and personal information, except anything we are required to retain by law.

Your choices and rights

You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your photos and personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information, or to object to certain processing (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA). Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will let you know in the app or by email.
